Rally Day 2019!
Rally Day 2019 will be Sunday, September 15th. This year we will continue to have the Bounce House, our 2nd Corn Hole Tournament, and be doing Face Painting! Come enjoy food, fellowship, and fun! We are in need of volunteers as well. Sign-Up sheets are posted outside of the office, as well as on-line. Links to the on-line sign-up will be sent out via email and posted to our Facebook page. WELCA Bake and Basket Sale 2019
Our 2019 Bake and Basket Sale will be held November 23rd and 24th. As was noted earlier this year we will not be selling crafts. If you have donated crafts in the past please consider donating baked goods, donating crafts that can be used as part of a theme basket, or creating your own craft related theme basket. Soon we will be asking for donations of baskets and unused items to put in the baskets. We would also like to expand our bake sale this year so if you have a favorite recipe please consider donating some yummy baked goods for our sale. Proceeds for this event go to both local and international charities. Thank you so much for your support!
Grandparents’ Day Plant Sale
We will have a Grandparents’ Day Mum Plant Sale at our church after services on Saturday, September 7th and Sunday, September 8th. Please honor your Grandparents or any older friends or relatives by purchasing a hardy mum!
August Food Pantry Collection
Beans, Beans the protein filled fruit
The more you eat your muscles reboot
The more you eat the stronger you will feel
So, eat your beans at every meal!
This month’s food pantry collection is for Faith/Santa Fe. We are collecting beans and rice as this is a food central to the Hispanic diet. It also is a good source of plant-based protein which dietitians consider healthier than meat-based proteins. Please consider donating bagged pinto beans, bagged black beans, and bagged rice. If you would rather donate money, please put in an offering envelope and designate Faith/Santa Fe. Whatever money is collected will be used to buy beans and rice in bulk.
All food donations are accepted. Thank you for your generosity.
Ushers Needed
Teams of ushers will be formed by the end of the month to serve until the end of January. If you would like to serve your congregation as an usher for the Saturday or Sunday services, now is the time to volunteer. Contact Bob Rasmussen, Denise Sanders or Pastor Brian to sign-up.
All are welcome to usher: Men, Women, Confirmands, and Teens who have completed Sunday School. No experience is needed as we will train you. You can expect to serve about once a month, depending on the number of volunteers. You will enjoy the experience of serving others at worship. Thanks, Bob
