HUMAN CONCERNS FALL CANDY SALE HAS BEGUNThese are not just candy bars!  They are Fair Trade Chocolate from Kuapca Kokoo, Ghana.  Buying fair trade helps the farmers there get a fair price for their goods as well as access to credit, helps protect the environment, and funds programs that benefit their entire community:  schools, clean water, latrines and mobile medical clinics.  These are things we take for granted, but are hard to come by in Ghana.  Fair Trade is good to the farmer…Divine Chocolate uses only the finest cocoa beans for your chocolate bar, and is made from all-natural ingredients.  Cost:  Large Bar $3, Small Bar $1.25.

ALL SAINTS SUNDAY…NEXT WEEK…NOVEMBER 5, 2017November 4 and 5, we will be remembering the saints of our lives, the baptized of God, living and dead, who are the body of Christ.  We will light candles in remembrance of our lives ones who have died in the faith.  If you have lost a loved one in the last year and would like to have them remembered on All Saints Sunday, please email pastorbrianhooper@gmail.com this week. 

YOUTH CHIMESStudents in 3rd-8th grades are welcome to participate in Youth Chimes. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings from 10:40-11:30 in the sanctuary (11/5, 11/19, 12/10). Any student interested in joining should come to the 10/22 rehearsal or contact Denise Sanders (phone: 414-423-0608 or email: the.family.sanders@gmail.com).

TIME: 11:15 – end of Packer Game 

MENU: Brat or Hot Dog, Chips, Soda or Water, Sweet Treat

COST: Freewill Offering (suggest $5 per meal)

The Green Bay Packers and Bears will be playing for your viewing pleasure. We will also have a bean bag toss and other fun activities so come for fun and to support our Youth as they prepare for the ELCA Youth Gathering in Texas.

BAKE AND CRAFT SALE, NOV. 18 & 19, 2017Many of you have made donations of your handiwork and baking talents in the past and we look forward to you doing so again.  If you will be donating crafts or bakery, please sign your name and list of the items you will be donating on the sheet posted on the bulletin board outside of the church office, by November 16.  Doing so will help us to know what to expect for the sale.  November 16 will be our baking, pricing and set-up day.  We always need more hands to do all that needs doing on this day. Lunch will be served.  Please mark your calendar and join us. All donated craft items should be brought to church by Thursday morning, Nov. 16, bakery items by Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 to Noon or from 4:30 to 6 pm, or Sunday, Nov. 19 as early as 7:45 am.

THANKSGIVING EVE WORSHIP & PIE SOCIAL…Nov. 22 @ 5PMMake plans to join us for Worship as we welcome St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.  SSM will host the traditional Pie Social following the service.  Please sign up on the bulletin board outside the church office if you can bring a pie to share!

THE FLOCK IS HERE!  THE FLOCK IS HERE!Help our youth raise money for the National Youth Gathering next summer, by donating to send the flock of pink flamingos to a congregation member’s lawn.  If you do not want the birds to visit you, consider purchasing Anti-Flocking Insurance.  *Please see the sign-up sheets on the bulletin board for more information.

TIPPECANOE IS PREPARING FOR WINTER…CAN YOU HELP?Tippecanoe is now helping the homeless men and women in the community as we prepare for the cooler weather.  There is an immediate need for blankets and warm clothing for adult men and women. Thank you for thinking of those less fortunate as you begin readying your family for winter!
